Sunday, September 18th 4pm in Worcester
The mind, the body, and the breath are intimately connected and deeply influence one another. The breath is your tool for finding harmony in the mind and body. When we prioritize the breath, we may find ourselves physiologically and psychologically healing.
A pranayama practice can be used for
• anxiety / depression / stress
• muscle relaxation
• improved sleep
• improving health (blood pressure and cortisol levels)
• increased energy levels
• calming the nervous system
The first section of the class will be a body scan, understanding Pranayama, and how we can use it as a tool (on and off the mat).
Once we explore the variety of breath techniques and what they offer, we choose one to weave into our gentle meditative flow.
We will end the class with a delightful shavasana (lavender cold cloths) and meditation.
The goal of this workshop is connecting to the breath and using the energy force as a tool.
