About the event

Chances are if you think you want to take a yoga teacher training, you WANT to do it! Train with us to be a qualified yoga teacher who creates uplifting, safe and nurturing practices for your students. Our 200 hour hybrid Yoga Teacher Training is accredited by the Yoga Alliance. Merge hands-on asana training with the convenience of self-paced virtual moduals.

The virtual moduals will deepen your understanding about Yoga History, Yoga Philosophy and the Yoga Sutras. You will also learn fundamental concepts of Ayurveda. Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences that have evolved from the Vedas, part of the same ancient healing tradition with common goals of preserving our health and raising consciousness. Ayurveda gives you a framework to cultivate balance either for yourself or to create thoughtful and profound yoga classes. The virtual studies are comprehensive, convenient and economical. You'll spend less money traveling and learn the content at your own pace.

We teach asana in-person to reinforce anatomy education, and to ensure your safety. You will be guided into correct and comfortable alignment. Remembering the way the pose felt, you'll practice with confidence next time you're on the mat. Additionally, by learning asana together we have an opportunity to see people of different ability levels navigate into the same posture. This helps us to be more mindful with cueing and offerings for accessibility.

Our meetings are also peer teaching labs. As you step up and become the teacher it brings all aspects of your training together. You gain experience leading in a non-judgmental and supportive space, because everyone is learning together. By the completion of training you'll emerge feeling stronger mentally and physically.

During your training you may take unlimited yoga classes at Kula Yoga & Barre. This is an opportunity to observe other teachers to deepen your understanding for queuing, sequencing, establishing themes, and setting the tone for a thoughtful and transformative experience. Our style of yoga is Vinyasa and Hatha inspired. We offer a balanced practice that layers breath-work, asana, intension and mindfulness to create an intergrative class experience.

Virtual hours are self-paced of prerecorded discussions. The investment is $1999 paid in full or $500 deposit followed by 4 monthly $500 installments for a total of $2500

A final quiz on the virtual studies must be passed with an 80% or higher for successful completion. You may retake the quiz if you do not pass it the first time. It's open book and there's no time limit.

For those who wish to register with the YA, you must participate in peer teaching by providing supportive and meaningful feedback during observation, and when you are the lead, recieve it in return from those in training with you. It is totally ok if you're taking training to deepen your practice and not go on to teach!

Additionally trainees are asked to log 10 Yoga classes during their training to observe other teachers. The intention is to help trainees learn queing techniques and to observe how teachers set up their classes.
