About the event
Learn the basics of Trapeze Yoga in this 4 class series. The Yoga Trapeze is an aerial apparatus that is hung from the ceiling by anchors. The seat or the hammock is not very high, typically it should hang from mid thigh to belly button height. The Yoga Trapeze has many uses. Our four class series covers the diverse ways the Yoga Trapeze is used to build all-over strength, and to improve flexibility and range of motion. By the end of the 4 classes participants will have learned foundational skills. The topics covered are: yoga trapeze safety, complete set-up vs. handles only vs. hammock only. Using the different set ups we will cover inversions, floor work, core work and restorative postures. The course is designed for beginners. The group sets the pace for when new skills are introduced. Within each skill there are ways to adapt it for accessibility or to challenge. Participants who learn skills quickly can try out the challenge option while others continue to work on the fundamental or modified skill. There is never pressure to attempt anything you do not feel confident trying.
