Intro to Pranayama

Service Description

Our class will focus on the practice of pranayama (breath control.) In Sanskrit, “prana” means life energy, and “yama” means control. We use pranayama to balance our life force, settle our thoughts, and sharpen awareness. Our workshop includes discussion, demonstration and practice. Attendees will learn how to integrate pranayama into their yoga asana practice and daily life, as well as the anatomy and physiology of breathing. Attendees will learn how to use our natural breath as a mindfulness practice, Nadi Shodhana, Ujjai Breath, and Bumble Bee Breath.
